KingBennett signed with Durk's Only the Family record label after his work with. After adopting his stage name of King Von in order to make his music debut, his debut single "Crazy Story" was released on December the year 2018. It peaked at 81 in the Billboard Hot 100 and number 32 on the Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs chart; it also was able to garner millions of views on YouTube. Von released a sequel song, "Crazy Story 2.0," in the month of May in 2019. The song features Lil Durk, the sequel is inspired by the original track. Another remix/sequel, "Crazy Story 3.0," was released in September.
